About the Artist: Exil Levoy Born in December 1944, Levoy Exil is a master Haitian artist and painter; he is one of the main contributors to the Saint Soleil art movement. He worked for a few years with Tiga, Louisianne St Fleurant, Dieusel Paul, Prosper Pierre-Louis in that school of painting, depicting Voodoo representations. Exil's paintings are mystical and abstract and often depict Haitian Vodou deities, suns and stars, birds, etc. Exil has had exhibits in France, Haiti, Poland, and Paris in 1998 at the ""Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais”. He lives in Thomassin and continues to paint.
